Nobody wants to make predictable New Year’s Resolutions such as going to the gym more, so we’ve come up with a few ideas for resolutions for any wine lovers out there, who perhaps want to broaden their horizons when it comes to their favourite tipple.
Try new wines
The best resolution you can make this New Year is to try a variety of wines and even ones that you previously may not have liked, as your palate can change with time.
Of course, we’d recommend giving our Bacchus or Ortega wines a try if you haven’t already. If you have, then why not buy a bottle or two for a friend who hasn’t yet given us a go?
Improve your wine knowledge
Trying new wines is a great way to go to improve your knowledge, but you could also take a course or class on the subject. We even have some helpful blog posts you could have a read of to get you started:
· The difference between wine aromas and bouquets
· The history of the Bacchus grape
Visit a vineyard
Make it your aim this year to visit your nearest vineyard. We host regular wine tasting events where we will give you a tour of the vineyard and talk to you all about our grapes, and the wines we produce. As well as offering you the chance to taste them along the way. Keep checking back to find out about our events taking place in 2023.
Support the UK wine industry
By supporting your closest winery or vineyard, you’re also supporting many small businesses and, if our case, a family, as well as the families of our staff.
It’s also great for the planet, as wine produced in the UK has a significantly lower carbon footprint than wine that is imported from around the globe. We’re also committed to sustainable growing and production methods. These start before your bottle even arrives with you!
